My Christmas gift from Cas is easily one of the most thoughtful things I have ever received and I’m not ashamed to admit I cried like a baby when I opened it, even though everyone including Cas made fun of me for it 😂 See cause she gave me this necklace, with Texas, that says “home: where you are loved no matter what”, and the center of Texas is made up of her birthstone. And I will never stop being grateful for the bizarre circumstances and chance that brought me my soul sister and my best friend and my love. I am so blessed to be loved so sincerely.

Hi my love. I’m not sure if I’m interpreting this correctly, but are you more upset that your friend doesn’t text you? Or that other people text your friend and not you? Either way my love it’s normal to experience jealousy like that. I’m glad that you’re taking the stance to remind yourself that she’s your friend and it’s silly to be mad about that- not because your feelings are silly, but because it’s just taking away from your own happiness!

I am so ready for fall and winter this year. I hope it actually gets cold (CANNOT BELIEVE I’M SAYING THAT) cause last year it didn’t get cold at all. And I was glad for it then, but then of course spring and summer came and the mosquitos nearly sucked me anemic and my allergies tried to kill me via my sinuses so. I’m ready :D

It is currently 11:31pm and I am studying for my final tomorrow but yet I am distracted by looking up cute outfits on pinterest haha. I am thinking about my friends bday and how I want to buy her a good gift but I still need to buy some christmas presents and pay some bills. I just need to not overthink the gift because she knows Im a good friend and would be happy with just a birthday card honestly.
I swear to you, Pinterest is one of my greatest distractions! It’s one of the few places I ACTUALLY get my clothing inspiration from; I am a very very boring dresser but I try to actually follow some direction when I see cute stuff on there. I know what you mean about the birthday/christmas/bills thing… I make pretty good money and it still seems like there’s just never enough at times doesn’t it? God has been so good to us and has provided for us in every single situation, but sometimes I wish I had more money so that I could spoil those in my life who I love so much. Try Etsy my love, sometimes they have ridiculously cute and inexpensive stuff- or go with something adorable & DIY! I’ve seen this really cute thing where you get them like a really cute mug, buy a monogram sticker (literally a dollar) to put on there, and then fill the mug with cute stuff from the dollar store (snacks, nail polish, nail file, sample size of her favorite perfume, etc.) So adorable and not at all expensive :) xo
I will never understand why people are so uppity about, “Well, Jesus’ birthday isn’t even IN December!!”
Then I surely hope you are taking another day out of the year to celebrate the birth of your Lord and Savior!! Let’s be honest, does the date really matter?? Or is it the reason for the season??
We as Christians sometimes get very uptight about how the real reason for the season is forgotten. And that’s fine, because it IS. But people celebrate in different ways. If your family thinks its sacreligious to get a tree, I think that’s fine.
However, my family does get a tree. We also exchange gifts and have a big family party (all fish, we’re italian) on Christmas eve.
I can assure you wholeheartedly we remember exactly why we’re even blessed with that family, those gifts, that food, and that tree. It makes my heart happy to be with family and spend time with them… And I’d like to think that when I’m happy like that, so is Jesus.. Cause that’s the kinda guy my God is :)x3
